Tanya was shown in the March of 1996 under the world renowned Walter Martin (Wienerau) at the St. Patricks Day Show in
Dublin. This was Tanyas first show since having her litter and was ably handled by Albert Balmer. She won the Green Star.
This award is among the most memorable, coming from a judge of such high standing in the world of GSD’s.
Tanyas first CC came in May 1996 at Birmingham Championship Show under the Danish judge Hindse Masden. A week later she
won her second CC and Best of Breed under breed specialist and SV judge Brian Wootton at SKC. We continued to campaign Tanya
fiercely and she was a consistent winner at Championship level. Her 3rd and crowning CC came from the breed specialist
and SV judge Gloria Rambridge at Border Union Championship Show, where she won Best of Breed, beating for a second time the
breed CC record holder. Tanya’s critique from Gloria read;
“Bright, black & gold, big powerful bitch yet feminine. In the peak of condition. Have never seen her look better.
Good withers, backline & croup. Front assembly correct and hind angles correct. She is sound. Moving she is a joy to watch
both at the slow and extended gait. Attitude exactly right, being both alert & attentive but without excessive pulling.
Had absolutely no hesitation in awarding her the CC which not only makes her up but in my opinion she is one of the most worthy
Champions.”
We then showed her on home territory at the joint GSD clubs 2 day Championship show, hosted by Wales in August 1997. She
won a class of 27 open bitches under Norweigian judge Jonny Johnsen. We retired Tanya from the showring soon after this show,
ending on a high. She was then mated to Moonwinds Gottfried and produced a litter in July 2000, which produced Peterwell Katja
and Peterwell Kasper of Alberdale.
